The County of Kent

Kent is a beautiful county with a rich historical cultural heritage. There are many castles to be found in Kent, including Leeds Castle, known as ‘the loveliest castle in the world’, Dover Castle with it’s secret tunnels and World War history and many more all around the county.

There are many cultural visitor attractions, from stately homes and gardens, zoos and natural parks to museums and art galleries. You can explore the medieval walled city of Canterbury with it’s many boutique shops offering individual local artwork and crafts, old-fashioned fudge and sweets, designer clothes and more.

There are designer shopping outlets at Ashford, and Bluewater, one of the largest shopping centres in Europe is at the far edge of the county. Kent also offers stretches of golden sandy beaches, local fish and chips, oyster bars, quaint harbours and small fishing fleets at Hastings. There’s something for everyone, from countryside to coast.
